About the song
During a writing session last summer they wrote this catchy track that blends pop effortlessy with the sounds of soul and R&B. The track was written acoustically first and tells a story about a loved one and always looking forward to hearing from them. Like texting all night with your 1st lover.
3 A.M
And I still don’t mind listening to you
Read your text
About everything and anything at all
Wonder if you know what your ‘what you doing?’ does to me
Wonder if you notice at all, yeah
I won’t stay up for just anyone
I won’t reply the second someone texts
But for you I will
Don’t wanna say I miss you
But I probably do
Don’t wanna say I miss you
But it might be true
Don’t wanna say I miss you
Cause that be too soon
Yes, that be too soon
Cause you’re my favorite notification
When you pop up on my phone
I just wanna know
How your day went
Did they show you love
Or were they hating
Cause you’re my favorite notification
Come on, please, light up my phone
I know I ain’t home today
You send me text
And if I can’t
Than you know right away I will respond
I don’t like to play no games
Don’t play along
I don’t like to play games like that
As soon as I’m back
I’ll take you to places
That you’ve never been
Yeah yeah
Baby that’s a guarantee
Don’t stress bout me
Cause there’s no need
I’m gone right now
But I will be next week
I’ll be back next week
If you don’t wanna text
You can call me
If you don’t wanna text
You can call me
If you don’t wanna text
You can call me up
Don’t wanna say I miss you
But I probably do
Don’t wanna say I miss you
But it might be true
Don’t wanna say I miss you
Cause that be too soon
Yeah, that be too soon
Cause you’re my favorite notification
When you pop up on my phone
I just wanna know
How your day went
Did they show you love
Or were they hating
Cause you’re my favorite notification
